Programmer

These are the projects I was directly involved in programming, in addition to any other roles I may have been credited for, or even more specific programming roles like Gameplay Programmer, Tools Programmer, Engine Programmer, or Lead Programmer.

VS: Fire & Ice

Fire creates fire. Ice creates ice. The only way for each to truly win is to completely eradicate the other. This is my Global Game Jam 2011 game, created by our team of 4 people (myself, another programmer, an artist, and a musician) during a single 48-hour period. It runs on PC and was built using the XNA Framework.

Backyard Sports series

Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers takes you back to the nostalgia of childhood as you roam the neighborhood and find exciting pick-up baseball games. The Nintendo DS version features full 3D environments, animated characters, cool special effects, and play-by-play audio. Backyard Sports: Rookie Rush brings the action to the gridiron, with more characters and even crazier power-ups.

Petz Catz series

In Catz for Nintendo DS, you adopt an adorable kitten and learn to care for it, cuddle it, dress it, photograph it, and entertain it with toys. Petz Catz 2 enhances the experience with 3D environments, challenges, new breeds, toys, unlockables, and more, while Petz Fashion: Dogz & Catz adds dogs along with a focus on fashion and fashion shows to the already engaging pet care gameplay.

Winx Club series

We are the Winx! A phenomenon in Europe, the Winx Club are a group of fairy girls with amazing magical powers and attitudes to match. Winx Club: Quest for the Codex for Nintendo DS is a side-scrolling shooter with six mini-games; Winx Club: Mission Enchantix adds new gameplay and enhanced minigames, while Winx Club: Your Magic Universe adds support for Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and a personal diary, recalling Powerhead titles of old.

Kuma War

You've seen it on the news, now play it! Kuma War lets you recreate some of the toughest fighting from the War on Terror. Play actual military events: Hunt for al Qaeda in the mountains of Afghanistan, take down Uday and Qusay Hussein in Iraq, and more. Wherever the war takes our forces, Kuma War puts you there.

Mary-Kate and Ashley: Girls Night Out

Mary-Kate and Ashley have organized a girls night out filled with hip fashion and some hip-hop dance moves. First, you've got to have the right look to get into the club: select from the twins' wardrobe of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Then it's time to dance the night away.

E.T. Digital Companion

Let E.T. help organize get togethers with your friends, setup to do lists for school projects, and create an address book of all your important names and phone numbers. Or just play some mini-games and try your hand at some E.T. trivia. This Game Boy Color game was my very first commercial video game project.

Other Professional Projects

There are no small projects, only small teams. Making small projects. That is, this is a catch-all for all those projects that weren't noteworthy enough to detail on their own pages—or, in some cases, that were never released and so need to be buried in a page such as this to maintain a low profile.

MechMania

MechMania is a weekend-long AI programming competition held by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery. For two years in a row, I was part of a 3-person team from Polytechnic University that trekked out all the way to the middle of nowhere for the competition—with unexpected results.
